The results are up for the 2008 Rolex 24. The number 1 car finished in first place with drivers Franchitti, Montoya, Pruett, and Rojas alternating turns at the wheel. They completed the 695 laps with an average speed of over 100mph.

The results for Boris Said confuse me. The team he was listed with in qualifying finished in 57th place overall, and 36th in the GT division of the race. They completed only 177 laps in this endurance race.

However a driver with last name Said (could it be Boris again?) also drove with the 54th place finishers in car number 50. I didn’t notice Boris’s name twice in qualifying, although it easily could have just slipped by me. It seems strange for a driver to run in two cars, but in a long race like this with 4 and 5 drivers on a team, it is very possible that Boris could have driven for both teams.

If anyone finds clarification on this point please send me a message or comment!

Black Forest Racing entered two Mustang Cobras in the GT class.
Their primary car, Number 15 had Tom Nastasi, David Empringham. J.F. Domoulin and Boris Said conducting the driving duties. Car number 50 had a contingent of “gentlemen racers” that also included Boris Said in the lineup. Boris’s responsibilities was to
handle the first stint of the race and hand the car over to rest of the drivers. Unfortunately, the car (no. 50) suffered a transmission failure late in evening. Lengthy repairs sidelined it until early morning in which it re-entered the race. The driver rotation at this late stage of the race did not have Boris perform any additional time behind the wheel.
