Boris Said to Race in Mexico City this Weekend

First things first, go to Advance Auto Parts and buy a big bucket and some car parts. Step 2, go to 7-11 and buy a case of Corona and a 4-pack of Sobe No Fear (now missing Sobe on the label by the way…more on that later). Next, and most important, mix all of the ingredients in your giant bucket and you have a summation of the race in Mexico City this weekend.

Boris Said is on the entry list, as expected. He’ll be driving the #25 No Fear/Advance Auto Parts Ford. Taking the place of Bobby Hamilton Jr. in this race will give Boris his fourth straight start in the Nationwide Series race. The car is owned by Team Rensi Motorsports.

Boris has done very well here in the past so it looks to be a good race. In 2006 he finished second and in 2007 he finished third. In 2005 he qualified on the pole. Now he makes his fourth start on this track where he has history. Not only is it likely that he’ll do well, he has a legitimate chance of winning.

“I feel good about Mexico. I have a pole from the race and I’ve always run good there. I think it’s been my best chance to win a race every year. And I think this year will be our best chance ever. ” -Boris

“We’re going to the race with one goal in mind: To win. I’d rather throw it off the road at the end of the race and try to win than drive around and finish in fifth.” -Boris (about the race in Mexico)

That’s the attitude we all want to see coming into this race. Boris isn’t running a full season, just a handful of tracks. Placing fifth will win him some prize money but in the end this race is about pride. There’s no point total for Boris; there might not even be a next race if he doesn’t qualify. Here’s his best shot all year, so all thats left is for me to say “Go Get ‘Em Boris!”

The Corona 200 takes place in Mexico City, Mexico at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Coverage will be aired on ESPN this Sunday starting at 1:30 with the green flag dropping at 2:00.

‘“Said Heads” plus “Corona 200? plus “No Fear” equal a few good headlines for the Monday morning water cooler.’ MotorsportsNews.net

Tell Boris to stop crying like a little boy. Did you see Marcos Ambrose carry on like that when Robbie Gordon punted him off when he was about to win in Monteal last year. It’s motor racing get over it!!!

I think Boris got wrecked and was a little mad. Now he is starting to act like a Stock Car Driver. Put me down as a new fan.

A new Said Head is born, yea baby.

I kind of enjoyed the post-wreck interview…he knew how to state, rather politically, that revenge was coming eventually without actually speaking the exact words.

Whether revenge works itself out later or not, I think its fair to say that only Boris Said and Marcus Ambrose really know exactly what happened around that turn…a camera and announcer aren’t sitting in the car thats doing the spinning…

Boris Said is the Britney Spears of NASCAR…not talented, but a little bit amusing…until you realize he really is mentally ill and needs help. I used to be a Boris fan, but after watching Nascar Now, no more. No wonder he can’t get any sponsorship. That’s the good news, hopefully what little money he has now will dry up (who wants to sponsor a temper tantrum?) and ESPN will fire his butt and we won’t have to see him anymore. I’m suprised he could get three people to work for him. If I ever see him on TV again, I’m turning it off. And I’ll never drink No Fear, I don’t want anyone to think I’m like Boris.
    P. S. Marcos Ambrose is the classiest act in NASCAR, bar none.
    P. P. S. Cut the hair, already.

I just bought two cases of No Fear. I drink a can, replay the in situ interview with Boris and drink another. Good stuff. I finally got the garden ready, wow.

Seriously though, Boris knows his time is running out. It was not the time to take advantage of him. The man showed a little passion.

And there is no truth to the rumor that Jeff Gordon showed up a week early in Talladega to drink beer and talk racing with the locals.
