UPDATE: Merger for No Fear Racing to be announced Thursday

Per ESPN’s NASCAR Now show, it has came to light that Boris Said’s No Fear Racing team will be merging with Rick Clark Motorsports for the 2009 season. The merged team plans to run 12-18 Sprint Cup races. With this merger, it will make Rick Clark the majority owner. Rick Clark has been trying to organize a team in either the Nationwide or Sprint Cup series for the past couple of years. Clark has also led the Drive for Diversity initiative in NASCAR in the past.
There is no currently no mention of sponsors, car number, or manufacturer. The current status of the alliances with Roush-Fenway & Yates Racing, and also Carter-Simo Racing, are also unknown at this time.
