Father: Bob Said, Formula 1 Racer and Olympic Bobsled Driver for the US
First Racing Interest: Motorcycles
First Automobile Race: 1985, Detroit Grand Prix
Age 25: (1987) Began racing with the SCCA
1991: Big Break driving for Baer Racing in the SCCA World Challenge
1993: Drove a BMW M3, with the IMSA
Boris Said’s Nascar Debut! => 1995 Craftsman Truck Series, Sears Point International Raceway, finished 24/26 due to engine problems
1996: Boris made 3 Truck Series starts and finished as high as 13th
1997: Full time Truck Series Ride in the No. 44 Federated Auto Parts Ford
Said finished 16th overall in points
Boris won the ‘24 Hours of Daytona’
1998: He won his first Truck Series race at Sears Point
He also got his first start on the poll at Heartland Park Topeka
Busch Series debut at Watkins Glen, started at Pole but fell back to 40th
Boris won the ‘24 Hours of Daytona’ again
He also won the ‘12 Hours of Sebring’
1999: Ran six Truck Series races
He started at the pole at Portland and Topeka
Winston Cup debut at Watkins Glen, Boris led 9 laps before engine trouble took him out of contention
He also raced at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, finishing 34th
2000: Said Finished 15th at Portland in the Truck Series
He placed 30th at the California Speedway
Then finished 42nd at Sears Point in the Cup Series
2001: 4th place finish at Watkins Glen in the Busch Series
Boris Said placed 8th racing for Jasper Motor Sports
2002: Ran several more races for Jasper Motor Sports
He then filled in for MB2/MBV Motorsports, he started at pole and finished 6th at Sears Point
2004: Sears Point, placed 6th in the No. 36 Centrix Financial Chevrolet
2005: Ran nine races and finished as high as 3rd at Watkins Glen
Boris ran the truck series at the Kentucky Speedway, finishing 35th
In two races in the Busch Series, he finished as high as 5th at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez
2006: Boris signed with Evernham Motorsports to help their road course performances
Mexico City, Said won the pole and finished second
Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Boris started back at 40th and finished 31st
Creation of No Fear Racing - which uses equipment from Roush-Fenway Racing
Won the pole at the Pepsi 400, finished fourth and didn’t have to shave his head
2007:
Boris Said ran in 8 Nascar Races, with a best start of 4th and a best finish of 9th at the Toyota/Save Mart 350.
The future appears uncertain; although the fans want to see Boris run a full schedule, it doesn’t appear that will happen in 2008
